Samuel Pienknagura

Economist in the World Bank's Office of the Chief Economist for Latin America and the Caribbean. He obtained a Ph.D. in Economics from MIT in 2011. His research focuses on topics regarding economic growth and cross country productivity differences as well as political economy. He is currently working on various topics ranging from firm-level analysis of R&D and innovation decisions, the relation between skill differences and productivity differences, as well as the effect of financial development on growth.
